It’s strange and unpredictable the way our lives reach into those of others’ and grab a hold. It might be through a kind of huge-ish experience or through a very little detail (y’all know I’m in the details). What is resonating in the quiet places of someone’s moment alone or finding audience over the loud of a public place? No clue. Honesty is the common denominator though. Not a “no lies or omissions” kind of honesty, but the honesty that needs no words — the purity of a life, moment, or decision lived outside the catches and snags of cultural, political and societal battle lines. That’s what sticks to me, inspires me, grows me: honesty.
Speaking of, I honestly want to see the Lego movie. Hello, childhood.
